Always new

For the Holy Spirit to be able to work wonders in our life, we need to be truly open to his action. But what does it mean to be open to the action of the Holy Spirit?

It means letting him change our plans, letting him take us wherever he wants, and above all it means desiring him, seeking him ever more, never being satisfied, never believing that we have already known him enough.

We must not think that there can be no more newness in our relationship with him, that we have already tried everything. It is not so. He is always new, always dazzling, always surprising.

We can never say that we already know how to meet him, because he infinitely surpasses all our experiences. He is always much richer and more full of beauty than we could ever imagine. That is why every day we are beggars for his love and his presence.

He is showing us a new way to meet him. And through the new experiences of life, through crises too, he keeps opening up paths for us to discover something we had never experienced before. He is always hinting at a new invitation of love in our heart. It is worth listening to him.
